夢のあとさき -After your Tokyo 2020

　8月8日、東京2020は閉幕しました。各国選手、サポートメンバーの皆様、そして大会を支えてこられた多くの関係者の皆様、連日猛暑の中の熱戦となり、体調管理、コンディション調整など大変であったことと拝察いたします。皆様のご活躍に大きな拍手と限りない賛辞をお送りしたいと思います。

　今回はコロナ禍での開催となり、その評価はそれぞれにまた歴史にゆだねますが、セーリング競技では、見せ方という点で大きな技術進歩を感じることができました。近年のデジタル技術の進歩は、ヨット競技をわかりやすく伝えるだけでなく、フィニッシュ後の躍動する選手の表情や言葉をとらえ、（「おつかれ！」という日本語は印象的でした。）臨場感溢れるレース配信を可能にしていました。これからも4次元映像などあたかもレースに参加しているような技術がセーリングをより身近に感じさせるようになるかもしれません。

　Tokyo 2020 ended on August 8th. Players from each country, support members, and many people who have supported the races, I think that it was a hot battle every day in the heat of the heat, and it was difficult to manage the physical condition. 　This time it was held in Corona. The evaluation is left to history. In the sailing competition, I could feel a great technological progress in terms of how to show it. Recent advances in digital technology not only convey the yacht competition in an easy-to-understand manner, but also capture the facial expressions and words of the dynamic athletes after the finish (the Japanese word “Otsukare!” Was impressive). From now on, technologies such as 4D images that make you feel as if you are participating in a race may make sailing more familiar.
